SUPPORT THE WORK

The Message Isn't for Sale.
The Work Is Shared.

Who paid for the work when Jesus sent His disciples?

Jesus told them to give freely. Yet His ministry received support. Paul provided for himself and his companions—and also accepted gifts from believers. The message was never merchandise. The work still had material needs.

AN INVITATION TO EXAMINE SCRIPTURE

“Freely you received, freely give.”

Matthew 10:8–10Give without selling the message.

Luke 8:1–3People provided for Jesus and the Twelve.

Acts 20:33–35Paul worked to help support his companions.

THE BIBLICAL PATTERN

Not a
Contradiction.
A Distinction.

Giving freely did not mean ministry cost nothing. The New Testament shows different ways faithful workers were provided for - and leaves room for both support and voluntary refusal of support.

01 / JESUS & THE TWELVE

The Work Was Supported.

Luke records women helping provide for Jesus and His disciples from their own resources.

LUKE 8:1-3

02 / PAUL & HIS COMPANIONS

The Right Wasn't a Demand.

Paul defended material support, sometimes declined it, and also welcomed freely given partnership.

1 CORINTHIANS 9 · PHILIPPIANS 4

03 / FELLOW BELIEVERS

The Burden Could Be Shared.

Believers were encouraged to help those carrying the message, freely and without compulsion.

3 JOHN 5-8 · 2 CORINTHIANS 9:7

Some went. Some provided. Together, the work moved forward.

PURPOSE BEFORE FUNDRAISING

WHY SUPPORT MATTERS

We Go Because
People
Need What God Has
Given.

Not because a check is waiting.

JCL is beginning with live gatherings, music, biblical teaching, and opportunities for compassionate ministry. We want people to attend without their ability to pay becoming a barrier.

Venues, sound, production, outreach, travel, and future teaching resources still have real costs.

AN ACCOUNTABILITY INVITATION

Don't Give Blindly.

Examine our fruit.
Hold us accountable.

We're not asking you to fund a personality, purchase a blessing, or give because someone has made you feel obligated.

Examine what we teach. Consider what we're doing. Ask questions about how resources are used. See whether the work is worthy of support.

And if you believe this work is faithful, worthy, and of God, consider helping carry it forward - so others can find restoration and a way forward in Christ.

Voluntary, not compelled

Support is an invitation, never an obligation created through pressure.

Stewardship open to questions

We welcome reasonable questions about the work and use of gifts.

Compassion without a price

Giving is never a condition for care or access to our teaching.

YOUR RESPONSE IS YOURS

You're Welcome
Either Way.

The message is not for sale. Neither is our compassion.

Whether you give, pray, invite a friend to an event, or simply examine the work, you're welcome. Financial participation is one way to share the responsibility - not the price of admission.
